2.27.10

Things are looking up! A good progress report from nurse Holly yesterday, and today he looks even better. It may have been Grandma Cookie's famous bundt cake that turned the tide, we'll never know. But he definitely seems to be improving, and is looking forward the MU - KState game tonight. Thanks everyone for giving us some breathing room (literally), it's definitely helped him save his energy and fight this nasty infection. Rob's a tough son-of-a-gun, as you all know, and he is determined to get through this so he can enjoy the simple pleasures of summer - watching the kids play baseball, Friday night cocktails at the pool, scrabble at the Stoltz's lake house, hanging out on the deck. We can hardly wait....
Love, L

  2. HEY ALL...

I just wanted everyone to know that Bob's documentary is now available on line. Just go to:

    http://www.puttingthebootstoals.org/

and click the 'in the media' tab

Keep in mind, lots of politicians have contacted Bob (some even met with him) since the film first came out so dont think TOO negatively about them and how they didn't show up to see us in Washington. Also, for those who are familiar with the project, it is now "family friendly" for the most part (except the Hymee Slocum part) as the chief editor bleeped and edited his ass off to do so! Thanks Stephen! Check it out please!

    more 'good thoughts' to come!!

ps. screw k-state (sorry dan) and screw canada (except for the skater who's mom died)...moose mounting, skunky beer swilling, flappy headed, funny talking, back bacon chewing freaks! Great game...terrible outcome. Live it up...and dont forget the medal totals.

...sorry...just a little bitter about our curling neighbors to the north...

  3. OK. I apologize to the entire country of Canada. My venting was harsh. I've been to Canada. Its nice. But that was a big game. You have no idea how big unless you are Canadian. I'm not Canadian...but I get it. Congrats to Canada for all that you are...

    but I still hate K - State.

  12. Back in sunny S.A., but loved my visit to K.C., a great town with wonderful people. Enjoyed watching the game, but not seeing the Wildcats prevail. Just wait for March madness; the Tigers will show their teeth.
We miss you. I along with Aunt Ann and the rest of the Texas contingent(Dallas group) love you and never stop thinking of you.

  13. I got a quick chat with Big Bob on Sunday and he is lookin' good--I was so happy to see it! (I snuck in a couple of kisses, too.) I'm expecting to see him in his Speedo trunks at the pool in May--get ready Big Bob--with a cocktail in hand,a smile on his face, and 3 wet kids running around looking for Linda's home-made ice cream cookies. (Frankly, I'm looking for those ice cream cookies, too, Linda.) Stay well...keep resting and keep fighting (that goes for you, too, Linda). We love you! Sweeney-land
